The ranch has historically been a 450 cow/calf operation with yearlings carried over. The ranch has a small feedlot with a 1,500 head capacity.
Pastures and Water:
The ranch is well fenced in several pastures watered by 20+ wells of various depths. Little Pumpkin Creek, ponds and reservoirs provided for ample water supply. The ranch has installed a 3 mile pipeline with hydrants and tanks for additional water distribution.
Crops and Production:
Little Pumpkin Creek supplies the water for a 96 acre pivot. Located near the headquarters, the pivot is a low pressure Reinke pivot that is 25 years old. There are another 1,100 acres of dryland crop and hay production near the headquarters. Water is abundant and there is room for an additional pivot if desired. Production is truly well balanced with lots of room to expand.
Hunting:
This has to be one of the most diverse game properties in Montana. It is home to a resident herd of elk, mule deer, whitetail deer and pronghorn. The water features on the ranch draw in ducks, geese, pheasants and additional upland game birds. You can see the video and photos of the trophy animals that call this ranch home.
